Vietnam Tourism Forum (VTF) in Nha Trang has recently organized a survey to famous tourist destinations in two provinces Khanh Hoa and Phu Yen. Taking the survey were more than 70 VTF members who represented businesses in travel, hotels, restaurants, entertainment spots, etc. In the 3 day/2 night trip, they discovered landscape, services and historical cultural features in Diep Son, No number boat in Vung Ro, Mui Dien, Da Trang pagoda, Xuan Dai bay, Da Dia Reef, Bai Xep, Mang Lang church, etc. “In this trip, we take visitors from Nha Trang to Diep Son to stay overnight, then to famous tourist destinations in Phu Yen. This is also a complete tour to sell tourists”, said Ta Kinh Dong, manager of VTF Nha Trang.

Le Hong Son, director of Vina Travel Company (based in Ho Chi Minh City) said that his company will put these destinations into tours. These destinations are still new to tourists. Nguyen Hong An, director of New Discovery Travel Company (based in Ho Chi Minh City) also said that many tourists like new destinations, so, the company also aims to such destinations with beautiful landscape and historical meanings.
According to Nguyen Van Thanh – Standing Vice-chairman of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Tourism Associaion, with many similarities in tourist products, Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa can share tourists with Phu Yen. For a more effective linking, tourist businesses in Phu Yen need to invest more in service quality and intensify promotion for the local destinations. The linking is not only for tours for domestic tourists but for tours for foreign ones.
According to the leadership of Phu Yen Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Torusim, Phu Yen Province will work with travel companies to looking for measures to increase visitors in this province. Especially, the tunnel through Ca mountain pass just put into operation will facilitate and shorten time to travel between Khanh Hoa Province and Phu Yen Province, which may help the tourism connection of the two provinces better.
