Among 20 players being selected for the national futsal team to take part in the upcoming final round of the 2018 AFC Futsal Championship, there are two players of Sanatech Khanh Hoa, who are Nguyen Hoang Anh and Khong Dinh Hung. These were the two most outstanding players of Sanatech Khanh Hoa at the National Futsal Championship – HD Bank 2017, where the team finished second.

23-year-old goalkeeper Nguyen Hoang Anh has played for Sanatech Khanh Hoa for three years. He performed excellently and contributed much to the success of Sanatech Khanh Hoa in last year’s season. He was also awarded the title of the most excellent goalkeeper at the National Futsal Championship – HD Bank 2017.

Khong Dinh Hung is the last man (fixo) of the team. Hung has been highly appreciated for his good physical strength and tactical thinking. In 2017, Hung clinched two runner-up titles with Sanatech Khanh Hoa at the National Championship and with Sanna Khanh Hoa at AFF Futsal Club Championship. He was one of the top five candidates for the 2017 Vietnamese Golden Ball (futsal).

The final round of the 2018 AFC Futsal Championship will take place in Chinese Taipei from February 1 to 11 with 16 qualified national futsal teams. Vietnam national futsal team is in Group A with Malaysia, Bahrain and Chinese Taipei. As planned, in order to prepare for this tournament, Vietnam will play some friendly matches during their training course in Japan in January 24-29.

Another representative of Khanh Hoa’s football, Sanna Khanh Hoa – Bien Vietnam (Sanna KH-BVN), is representing Vietnam at MeKong Cup 2017. In the first time taking part in an international tournament, Khanh Hoa’s team played quite well, overcoming Boeung Ket Angkor of Cambodia and Lao Toyota FC of Laos to qualify for the finals. After losing to Muangthong United of Thailand in the first leg of the finals, Sanna KH-BVN is preparing with high determination for the second leg match in January 6. The results of Sanna KH-BVN at their first-ever international tournament promise to become a driving force for the whole team in the new season.
