Vietnamese athlete breaks world record at 2017 Para Powerlifting World Cups

At the ongoing 2017 Para Powerlifting World Cups held in Mexico from December 8 to 12, Vietnam's Paralympics Rio 2016 champion Le Van Cong overcame nine opponents, in which there was Nigeria's reigning world champion Yakubu, bringing him a gold medal in men's up to 49kg event.

At the ongoing 2017 Para Powerlifting World Cups held in Mexico from December 8 to 12, Vietnam’s Paralympics Rio 2016 champion Le Van Cong overcame nine opponents, in which there was Nigeria's reigning world champion Yakubu, bringing him a gold medal in men’s up to 49kg event. Cong lifted 183.5kg, breaking his own world record of 183kg set at Paralympics Rio 2016.
