The race includes three distances: full marathon 42.195km, half marathon 21.1km, 10km.
More than 200 runners among 500 ones used to win high position at the international marathons. Some famous people of Vietnam also take part in the 2017 Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon, such as Miss Vietnam Mai Phuong Thuy, MC Thuy Dung, actor and model Nhan Phuc Vinh, and singer Tien Dat.

Additionally, a 2km-running race called “Kids run” is held for the children from 6 to 14 on November 25.
Reportedly, each kilometer of each participant completing the race in her/his chosen race category within the cut-off time will provide VND10,000 to the Funds for the Poor and Sponsorship Funds for Sports Talents of Ho Chi Minh City.
