Vietnam’s goalkeeper Hai Yen contributed greatly to the victory of Vietnam with several excellent saves. Both goals of Vietnam were made in the second half by Nguyen Thi Nu and Tuyet Ngan respectively.
The win helped Vietnam to top group D and secure ticket to join AFC U19 Women’s Championship 2017 together with Australia (tops group A), Uzbekistan (tops group A), winner of group C (unidentified) and four direct entrants - Japan, China, DPR Korea and Korea Republic.
