Overcoming the difficulties in force, Sanest Khanh Hoa volleyball team has satisfied their fans with 3 consecutive wins in the second round’s last matches at the national championship, securing their place in this year’s tournament.
Sanest Khanh Hoa volleyball team joined the national volleyball championship 2013 with many difficulties in force. The trauma of the key players and the lack of experience of young players resulted in the team’s bad performance in the first round (ranked fourth after 3 losses and 2 wins).
Therefore, the training board set a target of at least two wins in the second round to secure the place. “With the team’s situation now, this target is not easy to achieve. However, the training board always believes that the players will try their best to gain the best result,” said Trieu Tu Thien, head coach of Sanest Khanh Hoa volleyball team before the beginning of the second round.

The teams in the same group with Sanest Khanh Hoa such as Trang An Ninh Binh (champion of first round), Maseso Ho Chi Minh City (with three wins in first round) and Lottery Vinh Long were assessed to be strong teams. With the difficulties in force, Sanest Khanh Hoa faced a big problem as they lost 2 games in the beginning of the second round.
Before the third match in second round, Sanest Khanh Hoa had team meeting and set a clear target to win over 4th Corps volleyball squad who always lost to Sanest Khanh Hoa from 2008. The team satisfied their fans with a 3-0 win before the rival.
Being reinvigorated, Sanest Khanh Hoa had their second win in the second round against Lottery Vĩnh Long at 3-1 score. In the last match with Trang An Ninh Binh, Sanest Khanh Hoa easily won 3-0 over the rival because Trang Anh Ninh Binh definitely entered the final.
Finally, with 5 wins and 5 losses, raking 6th, Sanest Khanh Hoa has officially secured their place at this year’s tournament.
Reportedly, after the tournament, Sanest Khanh Hoa volleyball team will check their force. They will focus on rejuvenating squad, create opportunities for young players to join competitions to raise experience and professional skills as well as recruit players in the next transfer season.
