A resident named Mau Thi Dinh, Lien Hoa Village, Son Binh Commune is very happy that her family of 5 members have a new house to live in. Her family is struggling to make ends meet every day. “We are so happy to receive a housing grant. Besides VND50 million aid from Khanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, we add VND16 million, workdays and materials to make the house more spacious and comfortable. From now on, we no longer worry about our home when rain seasons come. We are so grateful to the support. We will try our best to work and get out of poverty,” she promises.

The 4-four member family of Bo Bo Luong, Ta Gu Village, Son Hiep Commune spent the New Year Festival 2017 in a new house. His family used to live in a dilapidated house. They want a better home, but simply can't afford it. In 2016, his family was among 10 families receiving VND50 million grants. “After moving to a new house, we also bought some new appliances. Our life has improved thanks to the support,” says Bo Bo Luong. 50 houses for poor people and beneficiaries of social welfare in 7 communes and town in Khanh Son District include 10 houses/ commune in Son Hiep Commune and To Hap Town and 6 houses/ commune in the 5 other communes.

Funding priority was given to severely disadvantaged people and those in seriously damaged houses. The Commune Fatherland Front Committee also propagandized locals to put more money, materials and workdays if they can to make the houses more commodious. In addition, the Commune Fatherland Front Committee cooperated with its affiliations to motivate its members and Youth Union members to provide mutual support through sharing knowledge and experience in production; founding saving groups and offering gifts on the occasions of national days, according to Nguyen Huu Hong, Chairman of Ba Cum Nam Commune Fatherland Front Committee.

Leaders of Khanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and Agribank – Khanh Hoa Branch grant a house handover decision to Bo Bo Luong.

Assigned by Khanh Hoa Party Committee, Agribank – Khanh Hoa Branch, besides giving loan priority to mountainous areas, has focused on social security, especially in remote areas, including Khanh Son. In spite of unfavorable weather and long-distance transport of labor and materials, the construction of 50 houses has completed soon, providing new homes for the needy, thanks to the concern and support of local authorities, says Nguyen Xuan Huy, Director of Agribank – Khanh Hoa Branch.

The home construction for the poor has shown the good deeds of the society to help the needy to lead a better life. This is not only material assistance but also spiritual support to inspire the poor to greater efforts to work and improve their living standards. Khanh Hoa Fatherland Front Committee has also directed the Fatherland Front Committee at all levels to ask the beneficiaries to protect the houses for long-time use, according Huynh Thi Phuong, Vice-Chairperson of Khanh Hoa Fatherland Front Committee.

On the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification,  Nguyen Tan Tuan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee attended a house handover ceremony and suggested the beneficiaries that they should make great effort to work to raise income and improve living standards, contributing to the development of their homeland, Khanh Son District.
