Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee held a meeting with outstanding businessmen and enterprises throughout the province on October 13. Present at the event was Tran Son Hai, Permanent Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa People’s Committee. More than 300 businesses representing over 14,000 businesses in Khanh Hoa attended the meeting.

According to Khanh Hoa Department of Planning & Investment, in 2016, 1,458 new businesses have registered to establish, a year-on-year increase of 31.12% with a total registered capital of VND12,772 billion, up 131%. In terms of foreign investment, in the first 9 months, 5 projects were granted certificates of investment at a total registered capital of USD 5.76 million. Up to September, 14,037 businesses in Khanh Hoa included 11,885 operational, 363 temporarily suspended and 2,158 dissolved.
At the meeting, leaders of Khanh Hoa People’s Committee held a forum themed “Khanh Hoa supports investors and businesses’ development”. Representatives of businesses discussed and shared experience related to business and investment polices, regulations and environment. Leaders of Khanh Hoa People’s Committee gave resplies to questions and confirmed Khanh Hoa’s continued effort to take measures to support businesses.
At the meeting, Tran Son Hai granted certificates of merit by Khanh Hoa People’s Committee Chairman to 30 outstanding businesses and 21 entrepreneurs. A representative of VCCI in Khanh Hoa granted certificates of merit by VCCI Vietnam Chairman to 4 outstanding businesses. On this occasion, businesses donated VND250 million, including VND100 million from Me Trang Coffee Joint Stock Company, to the business start-up fund of Khanh Hoa Young Businessmen's Association.
