Quan Truong Bridge is in an exclusive aesthetic design.

Quan Truong Bridge under Phong Chau Street project (Nha Trang City) is invested by Khanh Hoa Management Board of Traffic & Irrigation Works. The bridge, more than 330m long and 16m wide, has 3 main spans and 6 approach ones. It is designed to be in an acre form with a large concrete aperture which facilitates aesthetic shaping.

Huynh Hoa, Director of Khanh Hoa Management Board of Traffic & Irrigation Works, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Bridge & Road Association says Quan Truong Bridge is in a preeminent arch- shaped design.  This is the third arch bridge ever built in Vietnam. The two other arch bridges are located in Ben Tre and Kien Giang. When completed, Quan Truong Bridge, besides linking traffic, will create a highlight of Nha Trang urban area. The construction is expected to finish in late July 2017.

Most of existing bridges have simple beam structures. However, the technology of segmental construction and prestressed concrete construction on movable scaffolding has proved its preeminence. Besides, some technologies such as balance cantilever method, segmental span construction and casting on scaffolding, have been applied in the construction of concrete bridges in projects in Khanh Hoa Province.

2 projects namely Phong Chau Street and Nha Trang – Dien Khanh Street include 5 bridges constructed using modern technologies in soft ground improvement with absorbent sponge, concrete pillars, prestressed T beam, prestressed concrete beams, etc, according to Nguyen Thiet Truong,  Director of Phong Chau Street Project, Khanh Hoa Management Board of Traffic & Irrigation Works. “The advanced construction techniques will help increase the bridge lifespan, cut expenses and facilitate repair,” he adds.

The construction effectiveness of the bridges in the 2 above projects will be the base for the application of advanced technologies in other constructions in the future. Khanh Hoa Management Board of Traffic & Irrigation Works will give some suggestions on the application of modern science and technology in the construction of 4 bridges located from Phuoc Dong Commune to Vinh Phuong Commune and other bridges in Nha Trang City, according to a leader of Khanh Hoa Management Board of Traffic & Irrigation Works.
