A daisy growing group has established in Cam Duc since January, 2016. Its 12 members frequently exchange experiences and can borrow capital from the farmer supporting fund to invest in planting. According to Nguyen Nghia, head of the group, most of the members have many years’ experience in daisy growing. Joining the group, members have a chance to support each other in capital, planting techniques, sales, etc to limit risks and diseases in their planting… For instance, in the beginning of the crop, half of Nghia’s 2,000 daisy pots suffered yellow leaves. Thanks to support from other members in the group, treatment has been found and the daisy trees have recovered as normal.
A chicken raising group has been set up in Cam An Bac for 5 years. Its 14 members have been offered loans with low interest rates to expand their breeding. Diep Duc Quyen, a member, said, “Joining the group, we often meet together to exchange experience and look for output. Each year, I earn about VND60 million from raising chickens.”

Similarly, plough group named Gia Long in Cam Tan Commune is also operating effectively. Set up since 2013, the group now has 8 members each of whom gets a profit of over VND78 million/year. In crops, they work soil at the same time for farmers to sow seeds. The group helps farmers to hire ploughs easily. Beside Cam Tan, the group can work soil for neighboring areas.
According to Nguyen Lai, chairman of Cam Lam District Farmers’ Association, the whole district has 21 co-operative groups. In general, such groups can solve the situation of every man for himself and lacks in capital, labor, technique, output, etc. In the time to come, one group will become cooperative and more two groups will be established.
