Lotte Mart Nha Trang is selling a lot of products like raincoats, umbrellas, etc. Most of them are locally made, according to the supermarket marketing and event manager Doan Diep Binh.
Big C Nha Trang has added many kinds of raincoats. This supermarket also reveals that raincoats sell well these days, especially one-time raincoats.
The same situation is seen at markets in the city like Xom Moi Market, Dam Market, etc. and stores in streets. Prices of raincoats don’t increase over those last year. A seller at Xom Moi Market named Nguyen Hanh An said that raincoats of some brand names like Thu Do Vang, Rang Dong, Viet Han, etc. are best sellers. Price of a raincoat is VND30,000 – VND130,000. An umbrella is selling at VND50,000 – VND180,000.

Water proof materials have started selling well. According to Tran Van Tri, director of Tri Son Enterprise, kinds of waterproof paints have a lot of improvement in quality and colors. Their protecting time now has risen from 3 – 8 years up to 12 years. Some favorite brand names are JoTun, Oranges Co., Ltd, etc. In comparison with the same period last year, purchase power of waterproof paints has gone up 20 – 30%.
Other products like waterproof plasters or chemicals of brandnames like Sika, Kova, Indoseal, Jotun, Radcon7, etc. also sell well in rainy season.
Some companies and supermarkets are offering some promotions to some products. For example, Lotte Mart Nha Trang has 22% - 32% discounts on raincoats; Tri Son Enterprise gives 25% discount to waterproof paints.
