Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Spring Flower Festival 2018 to be held in February 8-20

Nha Trang City People's Committee has just issued the plan for Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Spring Flower Festival 2018. Accordingly, this year's Spring Flower Festival is slated to open on February 8 and close on February 20 at Yen Phi Park and Children's Park.

The Spring Flower Festival 2018 is the fifth one of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa, aiming to honor the traditional cultural values and create an interesting venue for both locals and tourists during Lunar New Year days. 
 
According to Nguyen Sy Khanh, Deputy Chairman of Nha Trang City People’s Committee, the 2018 Spring Flower Festival will include the display and competitions on orchids, apricot blossom, ornamental trees, rockwork, bonsais, decorations, ornamental dry trees, and Red-whiskered bulbuls in a total area of 4,270 square meters. A competition on ornamental fishes is a new feature of the 2018 festival.
 
Pasteur Street will be decorated as the entrance to the Spring Flower Festival 2018. Two large welcome gates will be placed at the Pasteur – Ngo Quyen – Le Loi interchange and Phan Chu Trinh – Tran Phu interchange. The Children’s Park will be the venue for music shows throughout the festival. Some stands selling Vietnam’s handicrafts, local products, and sketches, etc. will be set at some places on Ngo Quyen Street, Pasteur Street, and Phan Chu Trinh Street. Red-whiskered bulbul competition will be held on Ngo Quyen Street.

 

 
Reportedly, the organizers of Spring Flower Festival 2018 will invite the artisans in Khanh Hoa and provinces like Phu Yen, Ninh Thuan, Lam Dong, Dak Lak, and Gia Lai to attend the festival; call for the participation of the businesses and household businesses in order to promote the local products as well as increase the diversity of the 2018 Spring Flower Festival.
 
Referring to the traffic during the festival, no vehicles are allowed in the site of the festival, including Ngo Quyen Street (from Le Loi Street to Phan Chu Trinh Street), roads to the south of Yen Phi Park (from Tran Phu Street to Pasteur Street). Vehicles with more than seven seats are not allowed to travel on Pasteur Street (from Yersin Street to Han Thuyen Street). Cars are not allowed to turn right Tran Phu - Phan Chu Trinh interchange. Parking lots will be located on Le Loi Street opposite the main gate of provincial Post Office and on Phan Chu Trinh Street.
