The Bureau of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition (under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) associated with Vincom Center for Contemporary Art (VCCA) opened the Junior Fine Arts Festival 2017 on November 21.

There were 379 entries of young painters over the country sent to the 2017 festival. The festival’s art council awarded four second prizes, six third prizes and eight consolation prizes to 18 outstanding entries (there was no first prize); selected 95 entries to display.

This year’s entries reflect many issues that young people care about, such as environment, job, spiritual life, culture, and information technology.

The festival takes place at the Vincom Center for Contemporary Art (No.72A Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi) until December 5.
