Many traditional rites were performed at the ceremony, such as drum beating, unicorn dancing, offering incense and offerings to Thien y A Na Goddess, and so on.

Am Chua Historical-Cultural Monument is believed to be the place where Thien Y A Na Holy Mother descended on earth. People in Khanh Hoa holds Am Chua Festival annually as a commemoration ceremony for the Holy Mother, who taught the locals to do field works, weave fabric, etc. The site was recognized as monument of culture and history at national level in 1999.

Reportedly, this year’s festival takes place in March 28-30, drawing 200 groups of pilgrims in and outside Khanh Hoa.
