Vietnam becomes new members of World Heritage Committee

With the 93 supporting votes out of 169 votes, Vietnam was in the list of 11 nations which had the highest votes and exceeded 50% of the votes required to become a new member to the 21-member intergovernmental Committee.

The intergovernmental World Heritage Committee is one of the most important bodies of UNESCO, being in charge of managing UNESCO’s World Heritage List and implementing the Convention.
